I’m a 8 year line cook (2 as a sous chef) transitioning into a permanent career into Network analytics so I see alot of posts from kitchen folk around the world. Last month I saw a post that read “All chefs can be millionaires, most don’t want to be” I really had to reconsider how much I value LinkedIn.

This is a short summary of every podcast. I now don’t need to listen to any of them because I know exactly what goes on in every one. Thanks. Time saved. Almost as well as it can be saved by purchasing the TimeSaver watch, which just says “NOW”.

I was on LinkedIn for 2 years and it did not do me a DAMN bit of good! I viewed so many people on there that were posting pictures of their cruise to Cancun ( bleary-eyed, and wallowing at the table with a bunch of other party-goers ). So stupid.

LInkedin is just a facebook for people with shitty jobs...

I kind of agree with the pandemic assessment. A friend of mine wrote a book and created a career for herself as a public speaker. I gained 40 pounds and had the bathrooms renovated. I do lack discipline. 🤷🏼‍♀️

They say that flying private is far better. It does cost a lot more though.

How did I miss this one. Well I'm here now. Does she know there are speech thepists. How she says things is as annoying as what she says. She does sound better actually, less quacky lately, but still bad.

What I find worst about LinkedIn is the brownnosing: "I was laid off today and I wanna thank my former workplace for seven fantastic years and I wish them all well in the future" even though everybody knows that you want to burn the damned place to the ground.

LinkedIn is what happens where there its a monopoly on social media for corporate life; one choice with one vision controlled by Microsoft so everyone falls in line. As HR and associated hiring managers will look at your LinkedIn (of lack thereof) - you're screwed either way.

I feel this but more like the past 10 years, absolutely nothing has changed. The technology is exactly the same, social media is exactly the same, music, movies, TV shows, cars, news, fashion, ect are all exactly the same. Name one thing that’s different now from 2014.

uhhm you can use it in the sun, it has dictonaries to look up words ( I read mostly in english but I'm not a native) , you can bring plenty of books with you everywehere ( holidya , tube, train etc) without taking up all the space in you luggage/bag . and more

I deleted my linkedin page a couple days ago because of the fact it feels like a really gross social media platform. I am a photographer and it is NOT a place for creatives to find work.

Most LinkedIn posts are awfully long and have a meaningless selfie or some other pic attached for the algorithm. Also everything on there reads like the most corpo washed down polished marketing HR department post ever
